The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) states in its reply to the proposal of the Third Session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) that at present, MIIT is speeding up the formulation of the national standard "Safety Requirements for Battery Replacement of Electric Automobiles", to support the generation of group-level standards on the operations such as whole battery box replacement for electric passenger vehicles, and to provide development and design guidance and safety test basis for the battery replacement-type electric automobile.
