On May 15, GLAC released the White Paper on the Development of China's Satellite Navigation and Location-based Service Industry (2019) in Beijing. According to the white paper, the total output value of China's satellite navigation and location-based service industry reached RMB 301.6 billion in 2018, an increase of 18.3% over 2017. Especially, the core output value directly related to the R & D and application of satellite navigation technology, including chips, devices, algorithms, software, navigation data, terminal equipment, infrastructure and so on, amounted to RMB 106.9 billion, accounting for 35.44% of the total output value. BDS contributed 80% to the core output value of the industry, and the related output value derived from satellite navigation reached RMB 194.7 billion.
