Recently, the Ministry of Emergency Management, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Transport jointly published the Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals under Special Control (First Edition), which required the construction of an information platform to implement the life-cycle information traceability control of hazardous chemicals. The four Ministries stressed that in the control of hazardous chemicals, the most important measure was to promote the construction of national information sharing platform for supervision of hazardous chemicals, to build a whole life cycle traceability supervision system from production, storage and use to logistics, transportation, import and export, and to gradually realize the whole life cycle process tracking, information monitoring and traceability of specially controlled hazardous chemicals using modern information technologies such as Internet of Things, cloud computing and big data.
