According to the "White Paper on China's Digital Economy Development in 2020" released by CAICT, in 2019, the added value of China's digital economy reached RMB 35.8 trillion yuan, accounting for more than one third of GDP. The nominal growth of digital economy is 15.6%, which is nearly twice the nominal growth rate of GDP in the same period. The development of China's digital economy has shown the characteristics of high quality and high growth rate. Additionally, the pace of transformation in four new directions is also accelerated, i.e. the transformation to digital industrialization, industrial digitalization, data value realization and digital governance.
