On December 31, the Kick-off Meeting for Construction of the National Connected Vehicle Service Innovation Center and the Signing Ceremony for Application Pilot Project of Connected Car (Connected Vehicle Service) and Autonomous Driving Maps were held in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area. Kurexi Maihesuti, the member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Deputy Minister and Deputy Chief Inspector of National Natural Resources, pointed out that as an important part of the autonomous driving perception system, the autonomous driving map was an important factor for realizing autonomous driving, so the Ministry of Natural Resources paid high attention to it and would cooperate fully with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Beijing municipal government in accordance with the principle of "supporting innovation, keeping tolerant and prudent, and encouraging foregoers", and that on the premise of ensuring geographic information security, they would support Beijing to close the test site at Yizhuang Base in Beijing National Connected Vehicle Service and Intelligent Transportation (Beijing-Hebei) Demonstration Zone, and to carry out innovation and pilot work with regard to the policy, management and technology for autonomous driving maps on the selected open roads in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area.
