On November 2, the General Office of the State Council officially issued the "New Energy Automobile Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)" (hereinafter referred to as "the Plan"). According to the Plan, by 2025, the competitiveness of China's new energy vehicle market will be significantly enhanced, the major breakthroughs will be made in key technologies such as power battery, driving motor and vehicle operating system, and the safety level will be comprehensively improved. It is envisioned in the Plan that the average power consumption of new pure electric passenger cars will lower to 12.0 kWh/100 km; the new car sales volume of new energy vehicles will reach about 20% of the total sales volume of all new cars; the vehicles with a high autonomous driving level will be used commercially in limited areas and specific scenes; and the convenience of charging and battery replacing services will be significantly improved.
