As it was stated on the official website, the Ministry of Transportrecently issued the "Action Outline for Promoting the Comprehensive Development of Transportation Big Data (2020-2025)", in order to promote the modernization of the transportation management system and management capability, improve the level of comprehensive transportation services, and speed up the construction of a powerful transportation country.

According to the document, by 2025, the efforts will be paid to achieve following goals: the comprehensive transportation big data standard system will be improved, and the construction of big data set for infrastructure and vehicles, with a large scale and systematic structure will be basically completed. The big data of government will effectively support the construction of a comprehensive transportation system, and the digitalization level of the transportation industry will be improved significantly.  Comprehensive transportation information resources will be further opened and shared. The big data will be more widely used in various business fields of the comprehensive transportation industry, the safety of which will be strongly guaranteed. A breakthrough will be made in establishment of the big data system and mechanism that conforms to the information development laws of the new era.  The basic construction of the comprehensive transportation big data center system will provide strong support for accelerating the construction of a powerful transportation country and boosting the prosperity of the digital economy.
